EACH WORD IS a FORM OF PRAYERS.

Today, let’s talk about WORD.  As a human being, we have so many words which we acquired / learnt / taught etc…  Do we actually realized that every single word slips from our tongue is actually a prayer? Each words is so Powerful until we didn’t even realized, it can actually affect one’s life, no matter on others or even on us, ourselves.

That word can be a GOOD WORDS and it can be a BAD WORDS too. I’m not going to waste my time on saying BAD WORDS because I already said it’s a form of prayer. Let have an example of GOOD WORD. I chose an Arabic word: BISMILLAH IR RAHMAN IR RAHIM. This word is the most commonly used by Muslim before we start doing any activities of daily living. You might wonder why? And what is the meaning?

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim means “In the name of ALLAH, Most Gracious, and Most Compassionate". See… how beautiful this simple word means…

We have recited it over and over, and it becomes a habit. This is the 1st lesson taught to us by our parent since we born…

Sometimes, we don’t even realize it that we are actually praying to ALLAH for HIM to lay HIS Mercy and Compassion on us.

For those who understand and practice it, you will feel the different whenever you didn’t recite it. It feels so incomplete… Even then, if you forgotten to say it in the beginning, you’ve been given another option or should I say opportunity to do so, by reciting BISMILLAHI AWWALUHU WA AKHIRUHU.

MASYAALLAH ("As ALLAH has Willed"-- this phrase is used when admiring or praising something or someone, in recognition that all good things come from God and are blessings from Him) .… at beginning, I only wanted to talk about a simple GOOD WORD and I chose the phrase of BISMILLAH IR RAHMAN IR RAHIM. Then, another word comes out: BISMILLAHI AWWALUHU WA AKHIRUHU.

Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim, Al-Awwal and Al-Akhir, these are just part of the 99 MOST BEAUTIFUL NAMES (ASMAUL HUSNA)  which attributes of ALLAH, and only can be found in HOLY QURAN.

"Al-Rahman al-Rahim" are two of the Attributes of Allah which remind people of His mercy, of the fact that His act of affecting goodness and rewards reach whomsoever He pleases, thus warding off evil from them. Al-Rahim is the One Who bestows countless blessings

Allah has said, "He it is Who sends His blessings on you, and (so do) His angels, so that He may bring you out of utter darkness into the light, and He is Merciful to the believers" (Quran, 33:43).

Your Allah is one Allah! There is no god but He; He is the Beneficent, the Merciful. (2, 163)

"Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful" (Quran, 15:49).

"Al-Awwal" means the timeless, the perpetual, the One Who has neither a beginning nor an end. He is the First without a beginning; He exists on His own even before His creatures were ever there.

“Al-Akhir” is the Last without having to have a first, the Last in His Attribute of eternity and perpetuity; He is the First to grant guidance; He is the Last to look after those whom He guides.

He is the First (al-Awwal) and the Last (al-Akhir) and the Ascendant (over all) and the One Who knows hidden things, and He is Cognizant of all things" (Qur’an, 57:3).

So, morale of the story is… when we are angry / upset, think 1st before we talk /
saying something. Always use GOOD WORDs, even though the world goes upside down, and always remember:

EACH WORD IS a FORM OF PRAYERS.
